We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Software Architect. THIS IS A 100% WORK REMOTE OPPORTUNITY for the largest provider of outsourced physician services in the world!
Responsibilities
The Software Architect will be a key contributor as we design and build the next generation of platform leveraging machine learning artificial and intelligence for a market leader in Distributed Radiology. The success candidate will be part of a small, talented team that deploys an event-driven micro services architecture capable of handling 30 million annual studies.
* Performs business analysis using Lean Enterprise methods, Kaizen tools to map and automate processes.
* Leads in defining, documenting and developing software, as well as contributes to architecture and technical design discussions, code reviews and technical design/specifications in collaboration with the project team
* Designs and develops software applications according to specifications and the standard enterprise architecture. Works on more-complex or larger-scale projects
* Trains end users to operate new or modified programs.
* Contributes to the review and analysis of business requirements.
* Develops, monitors, and tracks the progress of an action plan.
* Creates thorough, professional quality project documentation and technical specifications.
* Documents test cases and execute tests to ensure quality software is delivered.
* Provides reasonable work estimates and communicates deviations from estimates or work product in advance of deadline.
* Evaluates software change requests, determines business need or conducts root cause analysis, and implements technically efficient solutions.
* Assesses the impact of software changes and new development on other systems; conducts integration tests to mitigate risks.
* Designs, runs and monitors software performance tests on new and existing applications for the purpose of correcting errors and improving performance.
* Keeps current on emerging software technology and make recommendations.
* Takes technical direction from team members.
* Mentors peers and junior team members, and participates in and promotes a knowledge-sharing environment.
* Provides timely, comprehensive verbal and written status reports.
* Partners with IT and Business teams and follows through with problem resolution.
* Proactively recommends, schedules, and performs software improvements and upgrades.
* Provides application demonstrations and training as required.
* Ability to take on multiple assignments; own one or more modules of the project under development
* Mentor junior team members
* Promptly escalate issues, which affect product delivery and quality that are beyond scope of influence and report same to reporting manager.
* Quality, on time delivery of agreed deliverables.
* Contribute to the company knowledge base and process improvements.
* Conduct system wide requirement analysis.
* Conduct module level work effort estimations and integrate for the whole system
* Develop detailed design.
* Design and implement automated unit testing framework as required
* Use best practices and coding standards.
* Conduct peer-reviews and lead reviews and provide feedback
* Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, enhance and document components develop by self and others as per the requirements and detailed design
* Conduct thorough unit testing and integration testing for the whole system Conduct configuration and tem management of own work.
* Assist Project Lead/PM/BA in project coordination.
* Conduct project risk identification and mitigation action planning with the project manager
* Ensure consistency in policies, standards, procedures, and processes across the applications.
* On-call availability for after-hours support, as needed. Works overtime hours to meet project deadlines as required.
* Travel may be required for the purpose of technology assessments and guidance on new installations.
* Other duties as needed
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University and 9 or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's degree preferred
* PHP, RabbitMQ, AngularJS, .Net Core, MySQL (must have)
* .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, HTML5 (must have)
* AWS Services-preferred
* Hands-on management and implementation experience with Healthcare Billing and Information Exchange systems and open source technologies including extensive knowledge: PHP, C#.net, MicroServices, AMQP, SQL and AWS
* Must understand and follow the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
* Consistently demonstrated ability to exceed the requirements of Senior Software Developer
* Proficient in at least two-core development tools
* Sound knowledge of estimation technique
* Good knowledge of design patterns
* Sound industry trends awareness
* Experience in unit testing methodologies and frameworks
* Sound time management skills
* Good ability to anticipate issues and formulate remedial actions
* Sound interpersonal and team working skills
* Possesses expert knowledge in Performance, Scalability, Security, Enterprise System Architecture, and Engineering best-practices.
* Takes initiative to make best use of time, benefiting departmental and company goals.
* Works productively in a team and independently.
* Demonstrates strong work ethics, committed to excellence and be a positive influence to others.
* Flexible in working under changing and different work settings
* Keen attention to detail in all work
* Thoroughly understand the Requirements and Design
* Extensive experience in analyzing and optimizing already deployed applications
* Working experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
* Proficient at interviewing manager for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues
* Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
* Proficient written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
* Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products, providing verbal and written analysis to senior management
* Ability to effectively track, prioritize, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
* Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
* Able to manage cross-functional teams/projects
