Summary: The Back End Blockchain Developer provides expertise and development support to blockchain initiatives throughout the company. This role will provide POC and Pilot development support to product teams getting started with blockchain technology, and will contribute to the design and development of the company's core blockchain technology strategy. The Back-end Blockchain Developer will develop subject matter expertise on blockchain network platforms, architectures, and administrative/operational requirements, which will be contributed to both short-term projects (POCs/Pilots) and long-term initiatives (IMN, IHDP, and IHP). This role will be part of a unit that regularly supports experimental internal projects and strategic initiatives, that may have customer, partner or community support.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Help develop blockchain product requirements and effectively design use cases
* Design and build back-end blockchain functionality, i.e. network infrastructure, consensus algorithms, smart contracts, identity authorities
* Design networks that enable token markets and collaboration in the industry
* Drive blockchain adoption and innovation throughout all levels of Change Healthcare
* Collaboratively define blockchain systems architecture
* Document best practices, decision models, and act as a resource for blockchain engineering and problem-solving
Requirements:
* Passion for blockchain
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field
* 5+ years of technology expertise in coding and programming including C/C++, Python, Java, GoLang (Go)
* Experience in developing network architecture and/or blockchain technology concepts
* Experience with public/private ledger and blockchain technologies, Hyperledger preferred
* Smart contract design and implementation
* Experience contributing to an open source project preferred
Location:
* Nashville preferred. Remote opportunity available.
