Althea is currently seeking a Technical Marketing Specialist. This unique role blends scientific expertise and aptitude with sales and marketing. The successful candidate will develop content representing Althea's expertise in the areas of drug substance, product development and manufacturing. The technical marketing content will be communicated externally in white papers, presentations, press releases, editorials, etc., and internally for brand and website strategy.
The Technical Marketing Specialist works closely with the Sales team to provide business intelligence opportunities and updates.
This role offers the potential for remote working. Remote candidates must be able to travel to Althea up to 25% of the time.
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for developing, managing, and executing technical white papers, technical collateral, public relations (press releases, local/national awards), email marketing (content strategy & lead nurturing), thought leadership (editorial opportunities, webinars, and speaking engagements), advertising blocks, websites, and printed materials.
•Partners between technical operations team and business development team to prepare for client facing meetings.
•Writes technical content to be utilized in digital and printed format for better targeting new client prospects, nurturing qualified opportunities, and maintaining current clients.
•Executes on the new brand and website strategy by incorporating and managing new imagery, messaging, and technical content into all marketing tactics.
•Operates in and leads cross-functional teams to generate appropriate content and messaging.
•Drives top line growth by filling the opportunity pipeline with leads.
•Utilizes subscription based lead gen databases to mine for new prospects that match Althea's Drug Product and Drug Substance service capabilities. Develop lead nurturing program that transitions to Sales team funnel.
•Creates a technical and strategic advantage in marketing communication activities such as webinars, technical videos, collateral, white papers, and presentations.
•Assists in managing the marketing budget by creatively looking for opportunities to efficiently manage the marketing spend while maximizing revenue return.
•Works with minimal supervision and manages time effectively.
•Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
•Embodies Althea's cultural values by aligning daily actions with department goals and company culture.Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required; Advanced degree preferred.
•Generally requires a minimum of Five to Seven (5-7) years of relevant experience in marketing, sales, or web development.
•Generally requires a minimum of One to Two (1-2) years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a lab environment.
•Familiarity with online marketing campaigns including Web 2.0 concepts, email campaigns, lead nurturing, online culture, social media, social engagement, mobile devices, etc.
•Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
•Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
•Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines, or as a team member.
