Overview By Light is seeking a System Administrator to join our team. This position is Remote and supports Various VA Facilities for the Office of Information Technology (OI&T). This role will perform management functions in support of a Microsoft SCCM operation. The candidate would be required to determine required resources; develop a working knowledge of the SSCM environment and current shortcomings. Help Senior Administrators to develop a project schedule and align with Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Operational Level Agreements (OLA) and SLAs. Candidate will assist to develop a preliminary Plan to recover issues with the project from its current state. Candidate will work with other Administrators to affect this plan and support Tier 3 Tickets that are assigned by Management. Candidate will provide progress updates to the schedule weekly with the Admin team to ensure all deliverables are on schedule and help to develop acceleration plans if required. Responsibilities Provide Tier 3 Support as Assigned by Management. Work with the Senior Administrators to coordinate a mitigation plan should any issues arise. Help Admin Team with Determining Root Cause Analysis of issues identified and assist in forming plans for remediation. Develop a working relationship with other members of team to include Subject Matter Experts and Application Developers to provide support for advanced reporting. Provide weekly progress report to the Project Manager. Work with Technical Writers to Document changes in the configuration and fixes to problems. Query Logs and pull statistics for Key Performance Indicators. Assist in Developing scripts and leveraging available software to support getting required statistics. Required Experience/Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education. Requires experience Microsoft SCCM and supporting Technologies. Preferred Experience/Qualifications Bachelor's Degree is desired. Microsoft certification is greatly desired. Experience supporting SCCM based Projects Well versed in troubleshooting and root cause analysis methodologies. Experience working within an administrative team. Extensive knowledge of a wide variety of systems and networks to include high volume/high availability systems. Special Requirements/Security Clearance Candidate will go through background investigation for public trust security clearance. Employee must be capable of travel as needed. Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate to Managers and coworkers. Able to generate progress reports to Project Management on a scheduled basis.
