Reviewed is seeking a full-time Staff Writer to create daily content that supports our ecommerce strategy across Reviewed's site, the USA TODAY Network, and beyond.
Our mission, in part, is to help people buy the best stuff. One of the best ways to do that is with engaging, shareable articles full of genuinely useful products. Most often, these are list-style articles, but you'll have wide latitude to experiment with form, style, and topic.
Reviewed covers dozens of product categories, including tech, cooking, home appliances, health, beauty, photography, travel, subscription services, and more. Generalists with a passion for helping readers are the perfect fit.
This is a great position for someone with a background in service journalism and deal hunting. You'll be a core member of a bustling team that publishes stories and video to the largest news network in the country.
The Staff Writer reports to the Managing Editor of the Ecomm team. Location can be remote or in the Editorial Office and Product Labs in Cambridge, MA.
Primary Responsibilities

Produce 1-2 pieces of content per week that engage readers and drive affiliate revenue
*
Use data to optimize performance of ecommerce content
*
Assist the Ecommerce Editor with content and projects within the editorial department, which may include product reviews and other consumer-oriented stories
*
Some weekend writing in order to ensure timely and accurate content
Qualifications
*
Ability to create engaging stories that resonate with a mass audience
*
A love of shopping and bargain hunting that you want people to know about
*
Excellent, error-free writing
*
Familiarity with social media, SEO best practices, and content management systems
*
1-2 years related experience
*
Affiliate program experience a plus
*
Adobe Analytics experience a plus
Work Environment
The majority of in-office work takes place in an open floor plan office, with several smaller meeting rooms and test labs throughout the building. You're expected to be accessible to the team throughout the day via face-to-face communication, email, phone, and Slack. If remote, real-time communication skills are vital.
