Job Description
Note: We will consider strong candidates anywhere in the USA. This is for a full-time, W-2 employee position and not a contract or subcontract role. Location and experience will affect the salary range for this role.
Do you have a passion for pushing the boundaries of software applications and bending them to your will? Are you able to take what users say they need and translate it into a technical solution? Great! Let's talk about a career position with R3 Interworks.
We are currently looking to add a SharePoint and .NET Developer with experience working up and down the application stack. This role's responsibilities will be split approximately 70% development, 20% technical design, and 10% team coordination.
In the technical design area we're looking for someone who can maintain a picture of the overall project roadmap and business needs and think about how individual components/solutions fit into it, as well as maintainability, scalability, and reusability.
In the team coordinator area you will need to facilitate standups, troubleshoot with teammates, and assist with code reviews to ensure style and standards compliance.
For the main area of software development, the skills mix below is what we're seeking but we're also open to other special skills you might bring in. Career development is important to us, so expect to learn more skills once you join both through formal training, mentoring opportunities, and hands-on work.
Core skills:
- Experience with SharePoint server, Office 365 and/or on-premises (we are mostly working with Office 365 these days)
- Experience with client-side customizations to SharePoint
- Experience with the SharePoint REST API
- Microsoft .NET / C# development experience for web and Windows applications
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC and Web API frameworks
- Familiar with Entity Framework or similar ORM tools
- Microsoft SQL Server experience, developing queries, views, and stored procedures
- Experience with web client-side development, including JavaScript/jQuery, and integration with REST endpoints
- Be comfortable with ambiguity, disagreement, scope creep, and (clients') corporate bureaucracy
- Be comfortable working collaboratively on projects -- take responsibility for your work, but be willing to compromise on approach
- A sense of curiosity for figuring out the detailed inner-workings of systems
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience with DevExpress/DevExtreme controls
- Experience working on projects using Git/DVCS source control, and comfort with branching and merging
- Experience with K2 Blackpearl or similar (e.g. Nintex)
R3 Interworks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Applicants must be permanently authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to offer sponsorship at this time.
Company DescriptionR3 Interworks is a boutique consulting firm that specializes in web and business application integration projects, many of which involve Microsoft systems such as Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft .NET, and SQL Server. We have long-term relationships with most of our clients and act as a trusted advisor on their technology projects. People come to us because we engage deeply with the specific needs of each project, rather than bringing our own boilerplate solutions. We offer 401(k) with 100% matching (up to 5% of your pay) and 3 weeks of paid vacation per year. We are planning to add additional employee benefits in the near term, including group health insurance.
