We’re seeking a talented Senior 2 Software Engineer to join our GTM Machine Learning Operations team supporting our internal Sales and Customer Success clients through the delivery of scalable AI/ML and other data products to improve the efficiency and efficacy of frontline Sales and Customer Success reps and solve for their pain points.
You will be joining a high-growth, high-powered GTM Data team of Analytic Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and ML Engineers that deeply values intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and autonomy. The algorithms, insights, and data products we develop allow our Sales and CS reps to more effectively support our prospects and customers. Objectives of this Role
Work with data scientists and ML engineers to facilitate a smooth transition from model development to model hosting by the ML Ops team.
Keep current with advances in ML ops to identify ways to allow HubSpot to scale its use of generative AI in a cost-effective manner.
Support best-in-class set of open-source machine learning tools to increase team productivity
Monitor application performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement performance improvements as needed.
Carry out software integration work to connect models hosted by the ML Ops team into other systems at HubSpot so the insights and recommendations can be used effectively.
Respond to incidents and outages. Perform root cause analysis and work with the team to implement practices to prevent recurrence of issues.
Participate in code and design reviews.
About you:
Degree in computer science, software engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years experience in software engineering writing microservices and streaming data pipelines.
Excellent Python programming skills. Comfortable extending existing java code bases.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices
Experience designing robust systems and monitoring strategies to ensure high-levels of quality and availability, preferably in the context of AI/ML workloads
Able to clearly communicate highly technical concepts to lead effective design conversations
Curious, creative, collaborative problem solver with experience delivering iterative solutions to difficult problems
Bonus points:
Knowledge of numerical methods and high-performance computing concepts.
Experience programming with GPUs through Pytorch and/or CUDA.
In depth knowledge of both java and python ecosystems and common build and deployment patterns
Experience deploying and scaling machine learning models.
Familiarity with machine learning/AI techniques and their applications
Cash compensation range: 186300-279500 USD Annually This resource will help guide how we recommend thinking about the range you see. The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
