We are looking for a seasoned leader for our Member Data Products team who will bring together visualization, tool building/scaling, and analytical skills. In this role, you will lead a team that delivers the best communications and storytelling based in data and insights at scale. Your customers will come from all levels of the company, and have a wide range of technical, business, regional, and cultural backgrounds. Your team will oversee products and enablement mechanisms, and establish relevant standards/best practices across member insights, analytics, experimentation, algo observability and causality, and science productivity including GenAI-based internal tooling.
Responsibilities
Lead strong partnerships with stakeholders from across the business - from data science, product management, engineering, merchandising and marketing, consumer insights, finance, design, etc.
Hire, inspire, and grow high performing visualization/software/analytics engineers, and scientists
Help elevate the practice of building data products for the organization, Netflix, and the industry
Instill an inclusive culture that is creative and collaborative, both within your team and in the broader organization
Develop a team charter and roadmaps that optimize for data and insights delivery at scale
Ensure that your team produces consistently trustworthy and high quality products and artifacts that enable the business and other data professionals
Be thoughtful and meticulous about technology stack choices including build vs. buy considerations for Netflix as a whole

Demonstrates tenacity, resilience, and leadership experience to organize and drive cross functional work and decisions, overcome challenges, and propose solutions
Is both quantitative and qualitative; blends communications, engineering, and analytical skills
Is able to assess and understand information needs for a globally distributed company

Is a player-coach. Develops roadmaps and strategy. Oversees execution on technical work and ensures that the team produces consistent high quality outputs
Has superb communication skills - Is able to cultivate strong working relationships, communicate effectively, write meticulously, and give outstanding presentations to audiences with diverse backgrounds
Has experience building visualization and enablement tools at consumer scale
Is passionate about helping build the future of entertainment

The range for this role is $480,000 - $1,200,000..
