Launched in 2013, Project 529 set out to cut the $500 million bike theft epidemic in North America by 50%. Since launching, we’ve grown to become then largest and most comprehensive bike registration network across North America, helping our partners cut bike theft in their communities by double-digits. Our company helps these communities by providing a comprehensive strategy, software service and support package.
We are about to launch our Generation 3 product and the demand for our product for some time now has exceeded our ability to keep up with new requests. We’re self-funded, experienced, resourceful and have qualified leads flowing in daily. With 20,000+ law enforcement agencies and 5,000+ universities in North America, the opportunity for proactive sales is also quite high. The product and our expertise is best-in-class and we are highly responsive to customer needs.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- This is a part time, remote position that will service customers in the US and Canada
- You will be working with law enforcement agencies, city agencies, universities and bike shops / manufacturers
- Due to the nature of the target customers, outreach will be a combination of digital, physical (materials) and phone/video calls
- You will have direct access to the co-founders to provide secondary assistance with accounts as needed
- The primary role will be acquiring new accounts by providing education, samples, technical product answers and onboard assistance
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years sales experience, ideally with public sector agencies
- Comfort with digital tools - Insightly, Basecamp, Kayako, Google Docs
- Good written and phone communication skills
- Availability to accommodate engagements across time zones
- Authorized to work in the US
