IT Coalition is seeking a self-starter with education and/or a background in creative/technical writing to detail to join our Business Development team! IT Coalition, Inc. is fast growing, larger Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with expertise in Emerging Technologies, Application Development, IT Security, Management Consulting and Program Support. Headquartered in Alexandria, VA we provide services to over 20 Federal Agencies to include, but not limited to: DOJ, DOD, DHS, HHS, NASA, and DOC.
The compensation package for this role includes base salary and bonus structure along with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and education reimbursement among others!
Qualifications
This is an entry-level position, so some proposal writing experience may be advantageous for this position but is not required
Bachelor's degree in a field requiring extensive persuasive and/or technical writing, especially in a persuasive context, including proposal writing, journalism, communications, creative writing, marketing, business, law, or similar fields, in order to write persuasively to sell a point of view is required
Up to two general writing samples may be required to demonstrate fluency and command over varied topics
Up-to-date knowledge of marketing, editing, and graphic design, preferred
Eye for detail and skills in copy-editing, proofreading, grammar, style, spelling, and punctuation
Experience writing in a detailed, factual, and convincing manner
The ability to expand and develop original content and a convincing narrative from basic, raw information are critical
Ability to converse with a diverse group of people covering technical and business perspectives and elicit the necessary information
Willingness to speak and debate issues, develop independent knowledge and expertise through research to back up opinions
Ability to meet strict, iterative deadlines and good strategic planning abilities to stay on top of deliverables
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work well both in a team and independently
Able to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint
Responsibilities:
Receives, reviews, analyzes, and breaks down Federal Government Requests for Proposal (RFP) and similar items
Develops, organizes, writes, reviews and revises all proposal related activity and engages corporate and operational stakeholders to meet set timelines
Provide proposal writing and RFP response management support to be able to shepherd and oversee the proposal creation process from opportunity identification to the proposal submission
Accomplish proposal editing, formatting, compliance checks, and final proposal assembly
Demonstrate strong writing skills within a structured process and incorporate management/SME feedback to refine the proposal
Respond by adding pertinent details through research and inquiry to the core requirements identified in the RFI/RFP
Attention to detail to ensure that all requirements in the RFI are met and addressed appropriately
Ability to work with SMEs to develop solutions for complex problems and express them in a concise but convincing, compelling manner as part of the proposal
Ability to develop promotional and marketing content for the business and our website which could be case studies, white papers, specific capability statements, and project summary reports based on activity descriptions
