Position Summary:

Interlogix is seeking a highly energized, top performing Key Account Manager to identify, sell, and close incremental growth opportunities through the residential and commercial security segment while managing an existing book of business. This position reports directly to the Interlogix Channel Sales Leader and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities:

Manage and grow existing base of key accounts in the residential and commercial security channel

Identify and convert new dealer opportunities

Engage with regional sales managers to develop new account opportunities

Participate in relevant trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events

Develop professional sales presentations tailored to the potential customer requirements

Create smart home and security solutions utilizing Interlogix products to solve for customer needs

Manage a complex and sophisticated sales cycle that translates into conversions

Ability to work cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Customer Service and Technical Support

Builds rapport and relationships quickly with key customers and with corporate c-suite leaders

75% travel required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years in a Business Development/Sales role, preferably in the security industry
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Security and Smart Home segments
  • Strong track record of leading and growing sales in the security segment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, sales team environment
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into a value proposition
  • Excellent presentation and networking skills
  • Possess strategic prospecting skills
  • Unquestionable integrity and ethics
  • Must be self-directed
  • Experience with Salesforce.com software preferred
Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 7+ years of experience
  • BA/BS degree with 5 to 7 years? experience
  • MA/MS degree with 2 to 5 years? experience
