Job Description
The Global Key Account Manager is responsible for fostering the current relationship a specific key account has with Ranpak and continue its growth on the global scale. They should be intricately knowledgeable on the operations of the key account and be the first to know when they plan to expand their operations and detail the impact that expansion could have on Ranpak Corp. sales. Responsible for driving results for the entire sales cycle including building and developing senior-level customer contacts, setting the sales strategy and negotiating with the customer for profitable new, cross sell and expansion business. Success will be measured by maintaining and expanding the key account’s global current book of business, achieving sales targets, building strong relationships internally to the key account and by demonstrating good leadership skills.
This is a remote position. The candidate will ideally live in WA, OR or CA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement sales strategies specific to the key account to secure global sales growth
- Build the global growth plan of the key account
- Entice the key account on new Ranpak product offerings
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with senior management and key contacts throughout the global network of the key account
- Become intricately knowledgeable on operations of the key account and be the first to know when they plan to expand their operations and detail the impact that expansion could have on Ranpak Corp.
- Manage the interaction process and demands on the business based upon customer needs
The ideal candidate will display a results driven mind set, strong business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit, financial knowledge, communication proficiency with all levels of an organization, presentation skills, collaboration, P&L, and ability to execute.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree
- 7+ years of successful sales experience; key account experience a plus
- Planning: forward looking ability and vision to complete strategic 2-4 year business plan
- Ability to negotiate profitable contract terms and conditions
- Strategic selling capabilities
- Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and financial level
- Demonstrated “hunter” capabilities: track record of landing new business
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills including presentation skills
- Ability to access decision makers in corporate environments and “sell” the product on the “shop floor”
- Strong customer orientation
- Travel internationally between 60%- 80%
