Job Description
Thie is a remote based role and the primary responsibility of the Executive Director is to represent the ISBA and provide educational courses and support to its members.
Responsibilities:
- Follow up with prospective students inquiring about BCA courses through ISBA website
- Develop marketing materials to be used in advertising upcoming BCA courses
- Web content
- Direct mail pieces
- Email notices
- Review and write critiques of BCA Demonstration Reports received from BCA candidates
- Communicate review results to BCA candidate and follow up on revisions until successful Demonstration Report received and credentialing process complete
- Be available for new member calls regarding valuation assistance
- Serve as mentor to new ISBA members
- Identify competitive organizations with prospective members to be contacted about becoming members of the ISBA
- Contact fellow valuation professionals in regard to being subscribed webinar presenters
- Schedule subscribed webinars and facilitate transfer of marketing materials for each speaker and topic to marketing team for timely publication
- Moderate subscribed webinar presentations and transfer recordings of webinar presentation to fulfillment team
- Follow up on attendees to subscribed webinar series to market upcoming BCA courses and ISBA membership
- Identify new educational course topics to be written and developed for addition to current curriculum:
- Identify and recruit course developer(s) and speakers/instructors
- Work with content experts/course developers to produce course materials including text books, course manuals, classroom presentation materials/techniques
- Identify date/location of course presentation
- Suggest and assist marketing team in developing target market for new course
- Develop and aid in production of marketing materials to be used for new course
- Be on site for course presentation to aid in classroom facilitation
- Follow up with instructor/attendees to determine if any revisions are needed to course materials
- Work with course instructor to apply needed improvements and facilitate editing of course materials for next presentation
- Assist in the scheduling of speakers/instructors for ISBA/NEBB conference
- Recruit workshop presenters
- Assist in the development of marketing materials for annual conference
- Assist in the on-site production of annual conference
- Recruit exhibitors for annual conference
- Review and revise current committee structure of member volunteers
- Review current committee charters and rewrite as necessary
- Attend committee conference calls and facilitate committee work
- Responsible for the production of The Valuation Report – a new professional journal to be published by the ISBA/NEBB Institute
- Aid the editor on recruiting editorial committee members
- Facilitate focus group calls to aid in the production of feature articles for the publication
- Solicit advertisers and sponsors for the quarterly journal
- Review and revise publicity materials being used for the Gold Seal of Trust Program
- Recruit new members to and revitalize existing Gold Seal of Trust Program
- Aid in the development of marketing materials for Gold Seal Program
- Make contacts with potential Gold Seal of Trust review clients
- Attend trade shows and conferences to assist General Manager as needed – 30% travel
- Handle incoming calls from prospects and member inquires during vacation time of General Manager
Qualifications:
- Business Valuation Credential from ISBA-BCA, IBA-CBA, NACVA-CVA or AICPA-ABV required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands on experience with writing Business Valuation Reports required
- Demonstrated success with building and cultivating relationships through face to face, e-mail and phone interaction(s)
- Demonstrated presentation skills, both in-person (e.g. conferences) and online (e.g. training webinar)
- Knowledge of and ability to keep up to date with industry trends and key players required
- Must be self-motivated, results oriented, goals/quota driven and demonstrate ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to craft ideas, facilitate and collaborate with subject matter experts, plan and develop courses
Compensation:
