About the Role
AssemblyAI has an innovative product, clear product-market fit, and provides tangible value to thousands of customers every single day – and now we need a product marketing leader to help tell that story to the world. We’re looking for a Head of Product Marketing to join AssemblyAI as one of the founding members of the marketing team. In this role, you’ll help define AssemblyAI’s story, target audience, and key differentiators, and work with product, marketing, and sales teams to bring that story to life.
This is a critical leadership role that will build marketing foundations and help set the tone for marketing at AssemblyA. You’ll be an important strategy partner to the rest of our leadership team and will establish go-to-market excellence for the organization. If you love storytelling, partnering closely with product teams and sales teams to bring new features to life, and are excited about the opportunity to build out a world-class marketing team, we’d love to hear from you! This role will report to the VP of Marketing.
What You’ll Need
7+ years in B2B product marketing. Experience selling to a technical audience and working with developers is ideal, as is previous experience at a growth-stage startup
Proven track record of partnering closely with product teams to influence product strategy, bring new products to market, and establish go-to-market processes for new product launches
Energy and excitement to go from 0 to 1. You love building and can set a vision for the future, while not being afraid to get your hands dirty in the present to make things happen
People management and leadership experience. This is an opportunity to build product, marketing from the ground up, and we are looking for a leader who can build out a strong PMM function
Experience working with revenue teams on training, positioning, enablement assets, and competitive deal support
An ability to sell to multiple audiences and buyer types and experience creating a segmentation strategy to win in key use cases and industries.
Experience partnering closely with demand generation teams to test messages and create campaigns that drive pipeline and revenue for the business
What You’ll Do
Build PMM foundations including messaging and positioning frameworks, buyer personas and ideal customer profiles, and competitive intelligence
Partner with product and revenue teams to bring new products to market and develop our GTM processes, tactics, and success metrics for new product launches
Establish AssemblyAI as the clear leader in the speech AI space by partnering with DevRel, research, and engineering teams to amplify the incredible innovation and research advancements the team is making
Support our self-serve revenue engine, with a keen eye for user experience and self-serve monetization paths
Enable our revenue teams to win with thoughtful messaging, decks, on-pagers, product and persona training, and more
Bring market and competitive insights into our product development process from customer facing-teams, competitors, and market research
Come to the table with a clear perspective on the story we should be telling and what it takes for us to win the hearts and minds of our prospective customers and advocate for the customer’s needs in every interaction and program you run
Set the foundation for successful product marketing and scale the team as Assembly grows
