An immediate opportunity exists for a candidate with solid experience developing, writing and editing digital content for multiple platforms, to join our team. Due to an unprecedented period of growth, we have a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity in the SAN JOSE, CA area for a DIGITAL CONTENT STRATEGIST.

Responsibilities:

Work with a marketing team to execute content strategies across digital platforms.
Through auditing of current publishing templates and recently republished component library revise and/or redevelop publishing templates and best practices published on a Wiki platform. This will include analysis of the content requirements for various business audiences to develop new content models or migrate existing content in current content models that accomplish a content types purpose.
Offer strategic recommendations for projects while ensuring consistency with content standards and best practices, including SEO coaching/SEO readiness.
Influence and coach stakeholders to adopt effective digital content strategies.
Use editorial and writing skills to influence, engage, and convert target audiences.
Perform the end-to-end content delivery process, from collecting input from multiple sources to delivery of content for web-ready approval by business stakeholders.
Review existing website content and provide editorial updates and comments as necessary to align with evolving web and enterprise standards.
Engage in proactive content governance and maintenance processes to ensure consistency, timeliness, accuracy, and relevance of web content.
Audit and revise corporate content templates updates to ensure consistency, accuracy and completeness with new reference properties.
Audit and revise Wiki content to include new reference guidelines and best practices

Who You Are

You love working with people and finding ways to present content that resonates with customers and increases customer engagement. Ideally, you have worked in tech publishing, and driven an editorial calendar that has resulted in exponential growth in audience engagement and business outcomes.

BS/BA in journalism, marketing, communications, English, or related field is required
2+ years of business-to-business content- and digital-strategy experience
3+ years of writing and editing experience in high technology marketing
Ideally, 1 or more years of user experience writing or editing experience
Experience with digital and content best practices, including SEO
Strategic thinker with a passion for digital marketing
Success in influencing without authority; values collaboration and partnership as a key to successful outcomes
Excellent problem-solving skills; creative, practical, innovative, thorough, detail-oriented
