The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer who is customer-focused, and who likes to collaborate with other technology and business partners when solving problems at scale. We are looking for a developer to join our team to develop and support internal tools, as well as to support the developers and infrastructure for our client-facing products. You should be able to:
Program using Visual Studio, C#, and MS SQL Server.
Develop code per detailed specifications using specified programming languages, tools, and techniques.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and provide to the client team recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
Review performance data and application logs to identify potential problem areas.
Identify potential bugs or issues and work with the Product team to solve.
Digest Product release notes and keep up with known issues.
Communicate effectively with both non-technical and technical individuals.
Create automated tasks, and custom jobs and scripts for quality control.
Provide operational intelligence by collecting and analyzing application performance data and provide optimization recommendations based on your analysis.
Collaborate with the team and the extended communities to make recommendations and decisions that facilitate stability, growth, and performance.
Write clear, comprehensible documentation to educate a variety of audiences.
Manage your time and priorities effectively to balance daily ongoing work, and complex projects.
The Requirements
About you:
You have developed and supported client-server applications and feel strongly about consistency, performance, and security. You have a passion for analyzing code and data and you take an improvement-based approach to everything. Your experience gives you confidence in your knowledge of best practices, and you have some best-practice ideas of your own that could help our client teams do their work more efficiently and effectively. You are confident in your ability to work through production issues, plan for the future, and help the team do the same.
You love being part of a tight team of experts where you can immediately see the results of your contributions when solving technical and business problems. Minimum 5 years of current hands-on experience developing client-server web applications using Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, Microsoft. NET (especially C#).
Current and relevant SQL scripting and PowerShell knowledge.
Operational support experience is a plus.
Experience protecting mission critical and confidential data, including secure coding.
Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies.
Experience designing and implementing scalable and highly available solutions; disaster recovery design is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to produce usable documentation.
Ability to execute research projects and generate practical results and recommendations.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and zero-defect mentality.
Strong problem solving skills: Innovation, collaboration, analysis, inductive reasoning, event correlation.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or assistance.
Demonstrated ability to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of industry trends and standards.
Experience/Knowledge working in IT infrastructure areas is a plus (SQL, IIS, firewall, load balancing, Windows systems, DNS, Active Directory, Network, etc.).
Experience administering Team Foundation Server or JIRA is a plus.
